Monster Energy A.M.A. Supercross – Glendale, AZ

Tomac & Plessinger fly high in Phoenix

“Wait…you guys cover Supercross events, too?!? I thought this was strictly an automotive publication?” I’m sure you are all wondering why CSJ is covering a supercross event, which is a fair question. However, with a new year upon us why not branch out a little bit here and there and explore the various other forms of motorsport and culture that happen here in the valley of the sun? I mean, variety is the spice of life isn’t it? Anyway, enjoy the highlights from Monster Energy’s AMA Supercross event that took place at University of Phoenix Stadium.

This event was the 19th time Supercross took place at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ. With a packed house of 54,623 people, riders in both the 250SX and 450SX class tackled timed qualifying, heat races, and the much anticipated main event.

Fan favorite Eli Tomac (Kawasaki) came into Phoenix having already won the first ever 450SX [...]

Formula Drift Irwindale: Title Fight

The final round of Formula Drift slides into Irwindale Speedway for the last time...again.

The last round of the 2017 Formula Drift Black Magic Pro Championship took place at Irwindale Speedway for one final time. It has been confirmed that this event marked the last FD appearance in Irwindale, making this event memorable and one to commemorate for years to come. The weekend was full of emotions as drivers and fans reminisced about the history of FD at Irwindale. The weekend show was sure to excite the crowd and leave a memorable impact.

After a lot of planning and coordinating Eddies (@Majestik_Unicorn) fully rebuilt Nissan GTR is now done and unveiled at The Sema Show. Every body panel has been replaced with a true molded widebody design by Kreme Developments, Brand new wrap with the help from Colorbomb Arizona, New wheels from Rohana Wheels, Brand new R888s from Toyo. This beautiful beast stole the show this year at the Rohana booth, stopping everyone in their tracks to walk around the car and take photos. This car has one huge transformation.

With it only being my second time at SEMA, the show can be daunting in more ways than one. With my nerves calm and my head cooled this time around, the show can still be overwhelming. The venue is large and the builds even more so. There really is something for everyone here. Whether it’s large obnoxious trucks, derelict hot rods, glass-flared supercars, or smooth muscle cars the car in the next booth will always be bigger and badder. The detail in some of the builds features are the result of thousands of man hours and one off parts, and quite frankly it’s all a little too much at times. So how does one find grounding in such a sky-high atmosphere? Well… As they say, the devil is in the details.

As you’ve seen from coverage in the past, the SEMA Show is a beast of an event! The week long event that goes from October 31st through November 4th happens in the heart of Las Vegas in its very own Las Vegas Convention center.

SEMA is known to feature some pretty radical products from various vendors over the years; it’s the place everyone comes to showcase anything new and interesting in the automotive world. While there are literal miles upon miles of products and tech, few things seldom change the game so to speak, but Accuair came strong this game with a potential game-changing product. Enough that SEMA awarded it Best Engineered New Product for 2017.

In collaboration between Accuair and WABCO a new product called the ENDO-CVT is introduced. CVT, or Compressor, Valve, Tank is a totally self-contained unit marketed for any automotive application using an air compressor. If your car has air rid, then this is a big deal. Not only is the self-contained unit compact, but is also claimed as the quietest, most efficient, and moisture free air compressor that the market has ever seen. Accuair claim this compressor does the work of two industry standard [...]
