This past weekend Back to the Drift event was at Wild Horse Pass Motor Sports Park. This event was the first round in the Southwest drift series for Vegas Drift and also a car show hosted by Car Street Journal. About 40 cars entered  in the drift event and lots of cars signed up for the car show. Even though this event landed on valentines day the crowd showed up by the hundreds to witness this amazing event.

Working this event was an awesome experience! Working side by side with the amazing Vegas Drift crew was a great experience. As organized as this event was, part of the CSJ staff members helped on track with the drift event by waving and blocking off areas for drift cars to radioing updates right on the track. This was my first drift event that I was able

The Back to the Drift car show of 2015 was a fun and interesting event. Cars of all odds and ends showed face, and the competition was tough, as every car in attendance was high quality. Nonetheless, the results are in. Here are the finalists:

To really be a kick ass automotive journalist or an automotive photographer you need to be able to have a good time! Too often we find ourselves stuck working twelve hour days, out in the sun, on the track, at a show, usually covered in tire dust or desert sand… We travel a lot, neglect some responsibilities of “normal people” like chores and laundry after a long day… But its totally worth it because its all for the love of cars.

Here at Car Street Journal, we like to be professional, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a good time! For Example….
