The weather at Pikes Peak International Raceway was cold, drizzly, and rainy for Round
2 of the Vegas Drift Southwest Drift Series. Drivers started arriving Thursday and Friday
and many came out out to practice Friday evening to familiarize themselves with the layout. The weather was perfect, and had all of us thinking that the
next day would be be nothing but the same. We were wrong.
Saturday morning practice started early with drivers showing up to the track and getting
last minute preparations done on their cars. Battles were fought hard all day by everyone,
including the Arizona drivers who made the trek to high altitudes to participate. In the
end, Raz Naor of Los Angeles placed 1st, while Steve Mass placed 2nd, and Andrew
Schulte placed 3rd.

Last weekend, NAA Arizona held their annual club event adjacent to Luke Air Force Base at Arizona Motorsports Park. The two-day event brought beginners and experienced drivers together for the love of speed and the opportunity to push their cars to the limit.

Miki Weckstrom, driver of the No. 45 Olsbergs MSE X Forces car, earned a first place victory in the first round of the Global RallyCross Lites series race held in Phoenix, Arizona, May 21, at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park. The victory gives Weckstrom the series lead in drivers points.

Lites-E11Connor Martell secured a second place finish in the first round of racing, followed by Alex Keyes in third position.
