This February it is Car Street Journal’s pleasure to introduce Kyrsten Stoliker, and her beautiful Satin White Pearl 2013 Subaru BRZ, as our very first female Ride of the Month!

Women in the automotive world are slowly but surely becoming a more common sight. Many of these women have a passion for cars stemming from early childhood. What ignited this enthusiast’s passion for cars was when she was a young girl her Grandfather would tell her to come help him in the garage and bring him tools while he was under a vehicle doing some work. “Anytime my grandfather was around a vehicle I was always their right next to him getting my hands dirty. I received my first vehicle in high school which was a 2003 Dodge Durango V8 SUV. I remember when my car needed its first oil change. My grandfather came out to me in the driveway and handed me an oil filter and oil and told me to change my oil and figure out how to do it on my own! From that point forward I found it to be fun and rewarding to be able to work on cars, and I was addicted,” Stoliker said.

When Stoliker began car shopping, she told CSJ, she did a bit of research on what car she felt would suit her most. “While considering other vehicles I considered modifications, and what could be done to this car to make it different and stand out from the rest. Besides, I absolutely love cars and love to build and work on cars. My car is fun to work on, and lots of modifications are available for it.”

According to Stoliker the original goal of the build was to make the car as unique as possible while going to different car shows promoting not only her car; but her brand, as well.

“My car is definitely a garage built car, and just starting off. I’m looking forward to continuing my build.” So far, Stoliker’s BRZ has the following list of mods:

Megan Racing Coilovers

Five Axis 19″ Rims

Cusco Strut bar and Brace

Fuku Works Radiator Hoses

Raceseng Shift knob

Cusco spin turn knob

Spyder Tailights

Injen Intake

Perrin Exhaust

Vicious Led Side Markers

Custom stripes and paint job

Muteki SR48 Lug Nuts (blue)

Advan Rear Diffuser

Refinished brake calipers

The Exhaust and Intake are currently Stoliker’s favorite mods on the car. However, the intake also drove her insane. “I Recently refinished the brake calipers on my car. I raised my car, put it on jack stands, and went through the whole process. Towards the end, after waiting for the calipers to cure, I went to put the tires back on the vehicle and lower the vehicle. But then, I realized my car was stuck! It was due to the fact that my vehicle is lowered nearly four inches. My stock jack was maxed out and couldn’t lift me over the jack stands so I was stuck on jack stands until someone could rescue me with a real jack! It was definitely an experience.”
