Matt’s Top 6 at Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas
[dropcap style=”style1″]I[/dropcap]f I could take home any car offered at Barrett-Jackson’s Las Vegas auction, these are the ones I’d pick:
First is the 2008 Dodge Viper SRT/10 Hurst 50th Anniversary Convertible.
This viper is #2 for 50 limited anniversary Vipers series produced. Also this viper is second of the line but its the first convertible produced. This car is also 1 of 2 that is flat gold with black stripes with only 146 miles on it. With a 8.4-liter 10-cylinder engine with a 6-speed manual transmission from the Tammy Allen Collection, is a perfect collector’s car.
Up next is the 2009 Mini Cooper S Custom Limousine
This Mini Cooper is a 140” stretch limo that can fit up to 6 people. This car is a complete life like Barbie-doll themed. With the pink paint, hot tub (not functioning), pink interior, tinted windows, wet bar, strobe lights and only 12,400 miles on it. This is most definitely an eye catching collectors car. Also from the Tammy Allen Collection.
Third car is the 1957 BMW ISETTA 300
This is one of my all time favorite looking cars. From they way you get inside, to its small body, the Isetta 300 is eye catching. These cars are called “The Original Smart Car” with only a 1-cylinder 298cc motor making just about 13HP and a top speed of 53 mph. On the bright side it is a 4 speed manual transmission. From Tammy Allen Collection
Fourth on the list is the 1966 Ford GT40 Kit car
This is the Australian Ford GT40 Mk made out of steel and aluminum sheets body with a fiberglass doors. Motor is a 302ci with forged crank, with a corvette drive shaft. This car placed and won Best in Class, Best in Show, Best Overall in Show at The Spring Nationals at Sam Pack.
Fifth on my list is the 1991 Nissan Skyline
This Nissan Skyline GTR R32 was imported from Japan. Where in japan it’s known as the Godzilla super car. With a 2.6 liter twin turbocharged inline 6-cylinder all wheel drive, you can say it speaks for itself when it comes to power and handling. Plus only having 79,000 miles on it, its still new! This car just became United States street legal only a couple months ago.
Last but no joke, is the 2004 Mosler Raptor GTR, also called IAD Land Shark
This cars prototype took more the 7 year and over 20,000 hours to build and make. This vehicle is lightweight coming in at only 1,700 pounds. This 401.9ci twin-turbocharged LS-based 6 speed manual transmission is pushing 800hp with the help of 2-20 pounds nitrous bottles. This is a car collectors must have!
