Ever wonder what it’s like to do 180mph blind? Here’s your chance.

By Brian Brawley

Land speed records. They instill excitement, innovation, and the drive as humanity to surpass the limits of what we as a race believe is possible. It’s the dream of exploration. To explore what isn’t known and to experience discovery, within ourselves and share them with others. Now take that notion and turn it completely upside down. Remove the one safe, comforting aspect of control and throw it out the window, relying solely on another’s shoulders, wisdom, and judgment. Envision that, and one will begin to see the monumental accomplishment and struggle Mike Newman has achieved.

Back in September 2013, Mike Newman set a very unique land speed record. He recorded a 182.12 MPH world record driving a Porsche 911 GT2 whilst blindfolded. Let that [...]

You probably whiz by this car brand every day, get stuck behind, next to, or in front of one, or even park next to one, quite simply the brand is everywhere. You have also most likely heard their catchy slogans over the years. “I love what you do for me”, “Drive your Dreams”, You asked for it, you got it”, “The best built cars in the world”.

We are talking about of course, Toyota.  They are currently ranked as the number one car brand according to “2014 Brandz top 100 ranking”, and ranked 26 on overall most valuable global brands. Mini is not so mini anymore…

By Nicole James

Across the pond the Brits are showing some contempt with the fact that the Mini is continuing to grow. When the ‘new’ Mini came out at the turn of the century, many Mini enthusiasts thought it was “too German, too big, and not Mini enough.”

When you compare the recently launched third generation Mini to the to the first-gen reborn model back in 2000, you can notice a huge difference on how much bigger the newer model is. It’s not really all that mini anymore.

Naturally, the 2000 model is also much larger than the iconic original mini, but enthusiast can reluctantly tell the designers and engineers did their best to keep its dimensions compact. It’s still smaller than the cars it competes with. It’s quick, handles well, and is like the original [...]

Written by Nicole James

Have you ever dreamt of actually owning your dream car? What it would be like to walk out and see it sitting there ready for you to jump in and drive? This month, CSJ got the opportunity to interview up and coming drifter, Austin Kregle. He and his car impressed us so much that we decided he just had to be our March Ride of the Month.

When Austin got his license he decided he wanted to take up the sport of drifting. After researching extensively, he decided the 1995 Nissan 240SX was the car for him. After working hard, saving, and looking at Autotrader.com religiously for a year and a half, Kregle found his perfect car.

I wake up in the morning and the first thing I think is “race day is coming…” That’s right, I have an addiction. Its really comes to no surprise that my addiction, the one that haunts my every thought and moment, is racing.

10001479_630203253714098_2035028006_nSeveral months ago I had the opportunity to go for a ride along With Jim Cozzolino in his Acura NSX around the track during a National Auto Spots Association (NASA) event. Needless to say… I was hooked instantly. Shortly after that I found myself with a NASA membership and a track day scheduled. My first race was at Indie Raceway in Wilcox Arizona. Racing at Indie really gave me more confidence in my driving and in my car. It sparked my interest in buying performance parts rather th [...]

In honor of throwback Thursday, CSJ is bringing it back to when we were kids. For years and years, generation after generation, the Little Tikes Cozy Coupes have become an icon in the American childhood. Whether it was new or used, it’s likely any enthusiast born after 1979 has a memory with one of these. While most of us have moved on to bigger and better things, this British Enthusiast spent 1,000 hours building an adult sized, airbag-fitted, 70-MPH version of his childhood hot rod.

Check out this BBC story on the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe Adult Version.
