Out with the old, in with the new! Scottsdale Motorsports Gathering, also known as Scottsdale Cars and Coffee, is moving on to bigger and better things. Saturday, March 4, 2017 was the last show at Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona. This marks the end of a fifteen year tradition! Each show featured a make or model and this last one focused on the Ford Shelby. Over twenty Shelbys attended with two authentic Cobras in the mix. Of course other cars like the Ferrari Enzo to the Lamborghini Aventador made an appearance for memorable occasion. And memorable it was, this event ended with a bang!

Everything you wanted to know about Car Models

“Automatically you get the title of easy or promiscuous, it did effect how I felt about continuing in the car scene…” Melanie Brammeier, a Model in the automotive industry said, “But in anything you do you’ll be judged so I decided I might as well continue on with my interests, to the best of my ability, and not worry about any negativity.” This is something almost all car models face. Like all stereotypes, the idea originated somewhere. But just because there is a negative stereotype, doesn’t mean the model should be criticized as well. James Sasser, owner of Sasserfraz pictures, who has been photographing cars and models for nearly eight years, said “Everyone thinks car models are all sleazy or easy. They just aren’t. Most of them are just regular, normal girls.”

High Heels and Horsepower: Transformers Movie Review

By Nicole James

Let’s just get this out of the way…. SPOILER ALERT! Consider yourself warned… I just can’t stop drooling over the amazing cars in the fourth installment of the Transformers saga, Transformers: Age of Extinction. Directed by Michael Bay and filled with an all-star cast led by Mark Wahlberg, Kelsey Grammer, and Stanley Tucci, fans get to experience more of the Autobots vs. Decepticons explosion-fest with gorgeous cars in nearly every scene.

So, the movie is 2 hours and 45 minutes long and heavy on expositions. Age of Extinction picks up the storyline four years after the events of Dark of the Moon, making it clear this installment is essentially a franchise reboot. Not going to lie, towards the end of the movie I was jittery from sitting so long and getting a little board.

Wekfest this year was definitely one to be remembered. There was such a variety of cars that it was worth it for spectators to wait in the ridiculous lines just to get into the show. Luckily there was a lot to see in the parking lot that kept spectators entertained as the lines were past the Queen Mary. The 70 degree weather with the fresh ocean breeze made the event that much better. As soon as you walked in the show, the stunning cars just took your breath away. Each vehicle was clearly made with such perfection and ambition with endless hours of work put in them. Spectators who gave the cars close attention saw the minor details that made these cars without a doubt amazing. The gallery of pictures will speak for themselves. Enjoy!!

Ever wonder what it’s like to do 180mph blind? Here’s your chance.

Land speed records. They instill excitement, innovation, and the drive as humanity to surpass the limits of what we as a race believe is possible. It’s the dream of exploration. To explore what isn’t known and to experience discovery, within ourselves and share them with others. Now take that notion and turn it completely upside down. Remove the one safe, comforting aspect of control and throw it out the window, relying solely on another’s shoulders, wisdom, and judgment. Envision that, and one will begin to see the monumental accomplishment and struggle Mike Newman has achieved.

Back in September 2013, Mike Newman set a very unique land speed record. He recorded a 182.12 MPH world record driving a Porsche 911 GT2 whilst blindfolded. Let that [...]

You probably whiz by this car brand every day, get stuck behind, next to, or in front of one, or even park next to one, quite simply the brand is everywhere. You have also most likely heard their catchy slogans over the years. “I love what you do for me”, “Drive your Dreams”, You asked for it, you got it”, “The best built cars in the world”.

We are talking about of course, Toyota.  They are currently ranked as the number one car brand according to “2014 Brandz top 100 ranking”, and ranked 26 on overall most valuable global brands. Beating out the second place car brand BMW which ranks 32 on the overall.  Toyota seems to reflect that in their net worth of $236 billion [...]
