With support from Car Street Journal and NICOclub.com, ClassicCars.com took over High Street in Phoenix to stage the inaugural Future Classics Car Show Monday evening.

All 100 spaces along the street through the upscale shopping district were filled with cars dating from the 1975 through 2005 model years.

Those attending the show were able to enjoy more than the vehicles as the shops and restaurants lining High Street extended hours and many provided discounts during the event.

“We are overwhelmed by the response to ClassicCars.com first Future Classics Car Show” said Roger Falcione, CEO and president of ClassicCars.com. “It is a true example of how the collector car hobby is alive and well with the next generation. Ever wonder what it’s like to do 180mph blind? Here’s your chance.

Land speed records. They instill excitement, innovation, and the drive as humanity to surpass the limits of what we as a race believe is possible. It’s the dream of exploration. To explore what isn’t known and to experience discovery, within ourselves and share them with others. Now take that notion and turn it completely upside down. Remove the one safe, comforting aspect of control and throw it out the window, relying solely on another’s shoulders, wisdom, and judgment. Envision that, and one will begin to see the monumental accomplishment and struggle Mike Newman has achieved.

By Matthew Harris

The Huracan, Lamborghini’s successor to its top selling Gallardo, was revealed in March 2014 at the Geneva Motor Show. Who would’ve guessed it would end up helping fight crime, but that’s exactly what happened when Lamborghini decided to donate the Huracan to Italy’s state police. In fact, the new super car is replacing two of its predecessors that were also donated to Italy’s police force in 2004 and 2008.

The donation is to further improve the relationship that Lamborghini has with the Italian police. “We have a strong and fitting relationship with the Italian State Police. The new Lamborghini Huracan stands for Italian super sports car excellence and we are proud to provide it to the Italian State Police to carry out the specialist tasks these police cars undertake,” said Stephan Winkelmann, President [...]
