To kick off the year, Import Face Off came to Phoenix! It was held at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park, formerly Firebird Raceway. Burnt rubber could be smelled all through out the air as the drifting contest was in full swing. Bryan Young took home 1st place in his googlie-eyed Miata. The event had an exceptional turn out with some old faces and new faces in the car scene along with an uprising of many more female enthusiasts either out on the track or presenting in show. Many different car clubs were present.

That moment when… Going over a speed bump is like navigating over Mount Everest. Yes, this is a daily challenge for many of us car enthusiast with lowered cars but what else do we fear? At times the list seems endless and many people wonder why we even do it. It seems like more of a problem than not right? However, it is a life style few of us can understand. To dissect the daily challenges of the lowered life, CSJ talked with Ric Guerrero, one of the three founders of Stoopid Low. He runs the Stoopid Low blog, and manages the store and staff.

Car Street Journal and JDMFresh teamed up for a cruise from Phoenix to Tucson for the Import Face Off Car Show. We met up early at AZ Mills then made our way down south to Tucson. It was a great drive with plenty of photos ops and a spirited cruise for people driving the 100 mile journey to Southwestern International Raceway.
With well over 90 cars in attendance, Pizza and Pistons Part 3 was a huge success! “HIN was nothing compared to this! This is awesome! There are way more cars and its free,” one of the spectators said last night at the show. Cars began rolling in around 6:30PM and kept coming. At one point the line to get in was out onto the street. The parking lot was packed and cars began lining up and down the aisles. The DJ was playing some great music and spectators could be seen dancing around and enjoying themselves in the great atmosphere at Humble Pie. The restaurant was packed but the service was excellent and the food was delicious.
Several vendors were at the show and raffle tickets were available with winners receiving Free Detailing from D&D Customs, Stickers from Beyond Limitz Design, JDM Fresh air freshener kits, [...]

Cars began pulling into the Phoenix Convention Center around 11 Am Saturday morning for HIN – Hot Import Nights. The whole center was buzzing with pre show activities like vendors setting up booths, and drivers polishing up their cars before the public laid eyes on them, and before the cars were judged.
At 5 Pm the public was let into the building were they could look at all the amazing cars. DJ’s were playing music while models walked around posing with different cars and dancing on stage. Dev made an appearance at the show preforming several of her songs.
