Vegas Drift: Round 2 Southwest Drift Series Colorado
The weather at Pikes Peak International Raceway was cold, drizzly, and rainy for Round
2 of the Vegas Drift Southwest Drift Series. Drivers started arriving Thursday and Friday
and many came out out to practice Friday evening to familiarize themselves with the layout. The weather was perfect, and had all of us thinking that the
next day would be be nothing but the same. We were wrong.
Saturday morning practice started early with drivers showing up to the track and getting
last minute preparations done on their cars. Battles were fought hard all day by everyone,
including the Arizona drivers who made the trek to high altitudes to participate. In the
end, Raz Naor of Los Angeles placed 1st, while Steve Mass placed 2nd, and Andrew
Schulte placed 3rd.
Be sure to check our gallery from the weekends action, and we hope to see you at
Round 3 on August 19th at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Phoenix!
